Georgian commercial bank deposits up

The deposits placed in Georgian banking by Nov. 1 is 1.7 percent more than the previous month, the National Bank of Georgia told Trend on Wednesday.

The deposits placed in Georgian banking by Nov. 1 is 1.7 percent more than the previous month, the National Bank of Georgia told Trend on Wednesday.

In October, the volume of transferable deposits of public non-financial corporations decreased by 42.2 million lari (8.1 percent), while the transferable deposits of private non-financial corporations and households increased by 2.1 percent and the term deposits of non-financial and households increased by 90.2 million lari (2.9 percent).

The dollarization ratio of deposits constituted 66.9 percent by Nov.1, 2011. Compared to Oct. 1, 2011 it decreased by 1.8 percentage points.
