Kazakhstan builds 350 new innovative enterprises in 2011

Kazakhstan built 350 innovative enterprises in 2011, Kazakh Prime Minister's press website reported.

"Currently, Kazakhstan is at the stage of forming a competitive industrial and technological basis," the website wrote. "A number of reforms in science and innovative spheres were held, 350 innovative enterprises have been built, ... and the international cooperation in the sphere of development of new technologies ...was extended."

According to Prime-Minister's website, advanced technologies are introducing actively into production within the industrial - innovation program. Moreover, the national competence in many spheres is increasing due to implementation of joint innovative projects and researches. The number of innovative projects in Kazakhstan is annually increasing.

Earlier, the Kazakh Government worked up a Plan on country's scientific and technological development till 2020. The Plan envisages priorities of researches in agro-industrial complex, geology, information and communication technologies, oil and gas sector and mining and metallurgy complex.

Moreover, Kazakhstan provides grants for innovative activities development. Some 7.5 billion tenge ($50.69 million) were allocated for these purpose in 2011.
