WB to increase investment in Kyrgyzstan

The World Bank (WB) will increase the volume of investment in Kyrgyzstan from $10-15 million up to $20-40 million in 2012

The World Bank (WB) will increase the volume of investment in Kyrgyzstan from $10-15 million up to $20-40 million in 2012, KyrTAG reported on Monday.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank Group's member-organization, plans to invest in Kyrgyzstan's private sector and subnational companies. The major areas for investments are banking, mineral resource industry and agriculture.

IFC also plans to participate in investment programs for privatized companies in case their privatization was held in accordance with international standards.
The IFC is an organization which promotes sustainable private sector investment in developing countries.
