Kazakhstan, Astana, Feb. 2 / Trend L. Podolyak /
The Kazakh Land Management Agency will hold an inventory of agricultural lands from 2012 to 2014, the head of the agency Kadirhan Otarov said at a meeting.
The inventory includes the study of the condition and use of agricultural lands, their qualitative characteristics, identification of unproductive plots of arable land, the availability of unused lands, and development of the recommendations for their transformation.
He said that this work will be carried out for the first time in a large scale and in a systematic manner. The data of this inventory will be used as a starting figure.
This question was repeatedly raised. The work was postponed due to various reasons, including financial. The necessary funds were allocated from the republican budget. The agency intends to qualitatively conduct this work.
"The results of the inventory must be approved in accordance with the legislation," he said. "The special commissions on land inventory will be established in the regions."
