Imports of raw materials to Turkey increased by 31.7 per cent to hit $173.1 billion in 2011 compared to 2010, the Turkish Statistics Institute said on Tuesday.
Imports of investment goods increased by 29.3 per cent to hit $37.268 billion.
Imports of consumer goods increased by 20 per cent to hit $240.833 billion.
The total imports of Turkey increased by 29.8 per cent to hit $230.833 billion in 2011.
The largest volume of goods was imported to Turkey from Russia - $2.546 billion, or 1.5 per cent more compared to Dec.2010, Germany - $1.931 billion and China - $1.775 billion.
