Saakashvili: Azerbaijan is one of main investors in Georgia

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili called Azerbaijan one of the main investors.
"Azerbaijan invested in Georgia over the recent period $800 million and it means thousands of jobs and development of our economy," Mr Saakashvili said during his meeting with Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Turkish Economy Minister Zefer Caglayan.
"These investments gave opportunity for a lot of our citizens to feel taste of life and hope for future emerged," he noted.
Mr Saakashvili also noted flow of Azerbaijani tourists to Georgia increases and this contributes to development of relations between the nations which is very important. He said Azerbaijanis actively visited not only Batumi but also such resorts as Borzhomi, Sairme, Tsqaltubo last year.
The Georgian President also noted Azerbaijan's help in the country's gasification.
"In this hard and cold winter, we felt it necessary again to have such a reliable partner as Azerbaijan, and soon, with the assistance of our friends gas and heat will be in all houses of Georgian citizens," he said.
Mr Mustafayev noted Azerbaijan ensures energy security of Georgia and Turkey. He stressed it is necessary to use transit potential of Georgia more efficiently.
