The number of registered enterprises in Turkey in January 2012 decreased by 12.13 percent, compared to the same month of 2011, the Turkish Union of Chambers of Commerce said in its report on its official website on Friday.
According to the report, the number of registered enterprises in January hit 5,257 compared to 5,983 in January 2011.
Number of closed enterprises during this period increased by 12.57 percent compared to the same month of 2011.
The number of closed companies in January 2012 hit 2,105 compared to 1,870 in January 2011.
Compared to the previous month, the number of new enterprises increased by 19.56 percent, closed enterprises by 21.82 percent.
