Investment of Azerbaijani leasing company exceeds $22 mln in 2011

Unileasing JSC signed 1,748 leasing contracts as of Jan 1, 2012, the company's marketing specialist Elchin Ibrahimov told Trend on Tuesday.

"The company's leasing portfolio amounted to 32.857 million manat as of 2011, the amount of leased equipment exceeds 75 million manat, and its total assets reached 47 million manat," Mr Ibrahimov said.

During the year, the leasing company's investments amounted to around 17.5 million manat.

According to the analysis of the 2011, the average interest rate on the lease agreements was 20.06 per cent and the average lease term - 45 months.

Currently, the main priorities of the Unileasing company are leasing of cars, construction equipment, vehicles, industrial equipment, real estate and medical equipment.

"The company implements special "Resale A" projects for customers who can find information at the internet resources on leasing objects that are on sale. They can be purchased under terms of the previous years which were more profitable," Mr Ibrahimov said.

At present, depending on the project, conditions and interest rates change. For example, for car lease advance payment ranges from 10 to 15 percent, interest rate - from 22 to 24 percent per annum and the lease term - from 4 to 5 years.

The leasing company has offices in Ganja, Sheki, Guba, Saatli and Lankaran.

The founders of the Unileasing are commercial bank Unibank (66.67 percent) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (33.33 percent).

The official exchange rate is 0.7862 AZN to $1 on Feb. 21.
