Kazakh Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Bozhko offered during the government conference call to toughen requirements for the construction of houses in the South Kazakhstan region, as during floods they become useless.

"Five houses were collapsed in the South Kazakhstan region yet, but yesterday's survey showed that 59 houses in zone of flooding have certain cracks, and control over them should be toughened. And a problem arises here. In the southern regions many people build houses of adobe brick, but the saddest thing that they almost did not put its necessary foundation. I would like to instruct Housing and Communal Services Agency so that they have increased the demand for formal acceptance and permission for the construction of houses," Bozhko said.

Flood threat is observed in Kazakhstan.
