The revised draft budget for 2012-2014 envisages reducing budget expenditures to carry out such events as celebrations, conferences, parades and meetings by 20 percent.
Moreover, the purchase of foreign cars by the state authorities was blocked, Prime Minister Karim Massimov said at the enlarged meeting of the faction of the People's Democratic Party "Nur Otan".
"Taking into account the President's criticism over the revision of the budget expenditure and budget cuts that do not ensure economic growth and employment, the government optimized expenditures worth 25.6 billion tenge ($170.6 million)," Massimov said.
