French company buys shares of Turkish company running Tbilisi airport

French company comes to the management of the Tbilisi International Airport. Turkish company TAV Havalimanlari Holding AS, which operates Tbilisi and Batumi international airports, sells 38 percent stake.

According to the Turkish company, Aéroports de Paris Group-ი TAV Company buys 38 percent stake. The total transaction value amounts to $874 million.

Both companies own 37 airports, which annually transport 180 million passengers.

It also became known that Aéroports de Paris Group-ი TAV buys 49 percent stake in TAV Havalimanlari Holding AS.

TAV, besides airports of Turkey and Georgia, also runs airports of Latvia, Macedonia, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
