Apple is to pay dividend for first time since 1995
Apple Inc said on Monday it would pay its shareholder a fourth-quarter dividend of 2.65 dollars per share, the first such move since 1995, DPA reported.
Apple is to pay 45 billion dollars to shareholders over a period of three years, the company said in a conference call.
The iPhone and iPad manufacturer also announced that it would buy back shares worth 10 billion dollars.
The dividend is to begin in the company's fourth financial quarter, which starts in July, while the share buybacks are to start in the next financial year.
