Georgia, Tbilisi, March 28 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia /

The prospects for Georgia's economic development in 2012 are promising. The forecast for the country's economic growth is 6 percent while keeping the unique inflation rate, representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Georgia Edward Gardner told media
today.

"This is stipulated by issuing Eurobonds," Gardner said.

He said that if the situation in the global economy deteriorates, Georgia will be able to use the IMF program. It is planned to deliver about $390 million for two years.

"The Georgian government may use these funds in case of necessity," he added. "This program is a logical continuation of a 33-month program to support Georgia's economy, which ended on June 14, 2011."
