Car sales increased by 19.3 percent in Kazakhstan in February

Car sales increased by 19.3 percent in Kazakhstan in February, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported referring to the consulting company Qncepto.

"Authorized dealers' sales hit 4,335 cars in February. This index is by 19.29 percent more than the results of January and exceed the sales in February, 2011 by 2.47 times," the company said.

The authorized dealers have sold 7,969 cars since January, 1. Lada, Hyundai, KIA and Chevrolet are the best sold brands in this period. This car models made up 77.5 percent of all car sales.

The best sold brand in the Kazakh market is Lada. Dealers sold 1,772 cars of this brand in February (2.52 times more compared to February, 2011). About 43 percent of all car sales in Kazakhstan in January-February fell to Lada.

Hyundai with 529 cars sold in February ranked second in the sales (11.25 times more compared to February, 2011).
Toyota with 345 sold cars is ranks third.

Other brands bought in Kazakhstan in February are KIA (315 cars), UZ-Daewoo (260 cars) Chevrolet (224 cars), Nissan (200 cars), SsangYong (130 cars), Mitsubishi (103 cars), ZAZ (86 cars).

Total sales of luxury brands have grown by 47 percent in the reporting period compared to February 2011.
