Azerbaijan, Baku, April 9 /Trend A.Akhundov/
The tax authorities om Azerbaijan will file tax returns themselves and submit them for approval by taxpayers in the future, Deputy Chief of Tax Policy and Strategic Research Mahiyaddin Namazov said at a meeting with the members of the Union of Azerbaijani and Turkish entrepreneurs (ATIB).
"If the taxpayer agrees with the data given in the declaration, the only thing left is sign it. It is done due to the fact that the preparation of tax returns is time-consuming for taxpayers," Namazov said.
Namazov noted that results of tax audits will be presented to the taxpayer in electronic form.
"At the same time, this process necessitates the submission of reports to the Ministry of taxpayers in electronic form so they should be prepared for this process," Namazov said.
The ATIB was established on April 17, 2004. Eighty companies that are members of ATIB, have invested over $3 billion in economy of Azerbaijan. These companies employ about 40,000 people.
