Turkish Renaissance presents new projects to Turkmenistan

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the chairman of the Renaissance Holding Group of companies Erman Ylydzhak and the president of the Renaissance Construction company Hussein Avni Akvardar, the Turkmen government said on Wednesday.

'Expressing deep interest in strengthening positions on the very promising Turkmen market, the Renaissance head informed the President of Turkmenistan on the progress of work on the facilities already constructed and presented a number of new projects developed under the instruction of the Turkmen leader', the statement said.

In particular, draft versions of a complex of buildings of the State Development Bank of Turkmenistan, departments of precious metals and stones of the Central Bank, buildings of the Centre of congresses and exhibitions,a car overpass in the city of Turkmenbashi on the section of long-distance Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi highway and a bridge across the Amu Darya in Turkmenabat as well as other projects were presented.

'The President drew attention to the imperative demands of the Turkmen side, the principal terms of which were and remain high quality and timely execution of all work carried out under the contracts', the material says.

Renaissance leaders assured that they will continue to adhere strictly to requirements put forward by the customer.

At this stage, the legal basis for partnership between Turkmenistan and Turkey includes more than 100 different agreements at interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental levels. The intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish commission for economic cooperation has been in existence since 2008.

There are over 600 Turkish companies in Turkmenistan that have implemented and continue to implement a number of projects in such areas as textiles, construction of housing, medical and cultural centres.
