Kazakhstan ups trade turnover within Customs Union

Mutual trade with the countries of the Customs Union amounted to $3.106.0 billion in Kazakhstan during January-February 2012, or 7.6 per cent more than in January-February 2011, including exports of $977.1 million (by 21.3 per cent less) and imports by $2.128.9 billion (by 29.3 per cent more), the Kazakh Statistics Agency said today.

Mineral products which dominate the Kazakh export structure were 43.3 per cent of total exports to the Customs Union countries, with metals and their products (29.6 per cent) and chemicals (13.8 per cent.

Mineral products were 29.7 per cent of total imports from the Customs Union countries, machinery and equipment (20.8 per cent), metals and their related products (12.9 per cent) and chemical products (11.9 per cent) mainly imported from the Russian Federation and Belarus.
