Turkish Yapi Kredi Bankasi plans to expand its presence in Azerbaijan

Turkish bank Yapi Kredi Bankasi plans to expand its presence in the banking sector of Azerbaijan the bank told Trend on Friday.
"During 2012 Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan plans to open four new branches in Baku," the bank said.
The bank has 10 branches, including seven in Baku.
Yapi Kredi Bankasi also intends to expand its activities in the field of retail banking services in Azerbaijan.
"Our bank is involved in financing projects in Azerbaijan and Turkey, and we will continue our work in this direction in the future," the bank said.
Yapi Kredi intends to expand the branch network also in Netherlands and Russia.
Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan entered the banking market of Azerbaijan in 1998. The Bank provides a full range of banking services to more than 1.500 legal and 21.000 individuals.
Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan is a subsidiary of the Turkish Yapi Kredi Bankasi. Stakes of the Turkish Yapi Kredi Bankasi were handed over to Koc Group (Turkey) and UniCredit Group (current beneficiary of the International Moscow Bank; leader amongst international banking groups on the Central and East European markets).
