Boosting trade with Iran is priority for Turkey’s MUSIAD

Turkey's Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) Chairman, Nail Olpak, said that expanding trade with Iran is a priority for the association.

While meeting with consul general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul Mahmoud Heidari on Friday, the Turkish official stressed the need for broadening bilateral ties, the IRNA News Agency reported.

Iran's Ambassador to Turkey, Bahman Hosseinpour, demanded that the bilateral economic transactions between Tehran and Ankara to be increased to $20 billion in 2012.

The value of the Iran-Turkey trade exceeded $16 billion in 2011. The two countries plan to increase the level of their bilateral trade volume to $30 billion by 2015.
