Azerbaijan puts up winery for privatization

The State Property Committee of Azerbaijan has announced an investment competition for sale of "Jalilabad-Sherab" winery, a report published on Saturday in the print edition of the State Committee - the Mülkiyyet (Property) newspaper.
The competition is open to individuals and legal entities of Azerbaijan and foreign investors.
Applicants must submit an investment program with proposals for the laying of new grape areas, modernizing the primary processing of grapes, the use of modern equipment in the production process, capital repair and reconstruction of buildings and facilities, expansion of product lines, increasing the number of jobs.
Those wishing to participate in the competition must submit a bank guarantee for five percent of the value of the investment proposal and initiatives to contributing 500,000 manat to the state budget.
The company is located in Jalilabad region on the second kilometer of the Jalilabad-Baku highway. The authorised capital of the company, which was commissioned in 1981-1983, now stands at 3.06 million manat.
Documents and proposals are accepted until July 2, 2012.
Proposals will be evaluated by the tender committee in the building of the State Committee from July 4 at 15:00.
The official exchange rate is 0.7857 AZN to $1 on June 2.
