In Jan.-May, Azerbaijan imported about 33,700 cars, or 61.7 percent more than in Jan.-May 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend today.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of passenger cars imported in Jan.-May amounted to $316 million, which is 53.3 percent more than in Jan.-May 2011.
In Jan.-May, Azerbaijan imported 3,636 trucks, which is 93.9 percent more than in Jan.-May 2011. The total cost of imported cars hit over $91 million or 156.6 percent more than in Jan.-May 2011.
In Jan.-May the country imported 454 buses, which is 94 percent more than in Jan.-May 2011.
In Jan.-May buses were imported to the amount of $25.5 million, which is 144.5 percent more than in the same period of 2011.
