Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will provide $56 million on construction of a new carriage repair complex in Kazakhstan, the bank reported on Thurrsday.

"EDB signed a loan agreement with LLP Center of carriage services - Eskene as part of project on construction of a new carriage repair complex in Atyrau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the bank said.

The loan will be provided for 10 years.

The project envisages construction of a universal complex for repair and maintenance of railway carriages, especially cistern cars. Its total cost is $ 70 m.

The main part of equipment during construction of carriage repair complex amounted at $30 million will be supplied by Russian manufacturers.

The Eurasian Development Bank is an international financial institution established by Russia and Kazakhstan in 2006 to promote market economies of the participants, their sustainable economic growth and expansion of mutual trade and economic relations. Its charter capital is more than $1.5 billion. The member states are Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
