President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received the heads of Japanese companies - president for industrial and infrastructure projects Kawasaki Heavy Industries Eizhi Inoue and CEO of Sojitz Corporation Mission in Turkmenistan Tatsuya Kono, Neutral Turkmenistan reported on Friday the newspaper.

It is stated in the information that the parties noted the "productivity of long-term cooperation and expressed mutual interest in the implementation of new joint projects, primarily on the construction of major industrial facilities."

The Japanese representatives informed about the progress of project on building a plant for the production of urea in Mary, which is entering the final phase, informing that all works are carried out in accordance with the previously approved schedule.

It is estimated that the cost of a major project is estimated at $1 billion. Design capacity - 400 thousand tons of ammonia and 640,000 tons of urea per year.

It is also stated in the information that Japanese businessmen presented their new proposals designed to meet the priorities of Turkmenistan's state development and aspirations of the company, which specializes in several key areas, to expand its presence in the promising Turkmen market.
