Exports through Iran's Bileh Savar customs point grow 1.5 times

Exports leaving Iran through its Bileh Savar customs point in the northwestern Ardabil Province totaled nearly $27.8 million over the first four months of this Iranian year (starting on March 20).

The iribnews.ir website reports more than 41,000 tonnes of goods passed through Bileh Savar to other nations since March 20. Over the same period, imports totaled $4.2 million, a 447 percent jump in value over the same time last year.

Foreign transit through the customs point totaled more than 128,000 tonnes valued at more than $280 million.

Data shows more than 342,000 people entering and exiting through the Bileh Savar point, a 12 percent decrease from last year.

Ardabil Province borders the Republic of Azerbaijan.
