The three companies that have the right to engage in life insurance in Azerbaijan have collected 23.112 million manat for all types of life insurance in January-June 2012, the Finance Ministry said.
The share of premiums for life insurance in the total amount of fees declined from 14.71 to 13.64 percent during the year.
The payments for these species also increased. Compensation worth 600.52 thousand manat was paid during January-June 2012, increasing by 3.31 times compared to the first half of last year.
The company collected 15.486 million manat for compulsory insurance and disability resulting from occupational diseases and accidents at work in January-June 2012, increasing by 19.68 percent compared to the same period last year.
The total volume of premiums of all companies operating in the country amounted to 169.455 million manat in the first half of 2012 and payments for the period under review - 41.44 million manat.
The report of the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan has not given the results of the only reinsurance company AzRE.
