Iran produced 333,000 tonnes of glass and porcelain in the first four months of this year, an 8.8 percent increase over the same period last year (Iran's solar year begins on March 20).
Since March, the country has manufactured 142,000 tonnes of glass dishes, 27,000 tonnes of porcelain products for bathrooms and 13,800 tonnes of china, Fars news agency reports.
The manufacture of drinking glasses increased slightly more than 10 percent from last year to reach 85,000 tonnes.
