Kazakhstan’s trade turnover with Customs Union countries decreases in January-June

Kazakhstan's mutual trade turnover with the countries of the Customs Union (Russia and Belarus) decreased by 1.4 percent in January-June compared to the same period of 2011

Kazakhstan's mutual trade turnover with the countries of the Customs Union (Russia and Belarus) decreased by 1.4 percent in January-June compared to the same period of 2011, Kazakh Statistics Agency reported.

"The mutual trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the Customs Union countries amounted to $11.262 billion in January-June 2012," the agency said.

During the reporting period Kazakhstan mainly exported to the Customs Union such goods as mineral products (42.1 percent of all exported goods), metals and metal products (29.4 percent) and chemical products (15 percent).

Meanwhile, 26.2 percent of goods imported by Kazakhstan from Russia and Belarus accounts for mineral products, 24.3 percent for machinery and equipment, 15.4 percent for metals and metal products and 11.7 percent for chemical products.
