Georgia is waiting for investments worth over $1 billion till late 2012, Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia told media today.
She said that the amount of foreign investments to Georgia in 2011 exceeded $1 billion.
"The increase in investments was fixed in the first quarter of 2012, which traditionally increases by the end of the year," the minister said.
Kobalia said that the investments exceeded 250 million in the first quarter, or 20 percent more than last year.
"This is a very good index that points to a good condition in terms of investments in the country," Kobalia said.
