Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept 7 /Trend A.Akhundov/
The number of profitable banks in Azerbaijan amounted to 33 in late July 2012, which is by 2 units less compared to June and remaining unchanged compared to July 2011, the Azerbaijani Central Bank said on Friday.
Total revenue of the banking sector amounted to 145.28 million manat in August 1, increasing by 36.13, which is by third more compared to January-June 2012.
The number of unprofitable banks increased by 2 units and reach 10, which is by 1 bank less compared to the same period last year.
As a result a loss of 10 banks amounted to 97.09 million manat, which is over 8.44 times higher compared to the figure for January-July 2011.
