Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Sept. 10 / Trend D.Azizov /

Carlsberg Group, one of the world's leading producers of beer, is considering the sale of Carlsberg Uzbekistan LLC (UzCarlsberg) - company's wholly owned subsidiary in Uzbekistan, a trusted source from the Uzbek beer producers told Trend on Monday.

He said there are potential investors who would like to purchase the enterprise.

As reported earlier, in June 2012 UzCarlsberg suspended its activities - stopped producing and sent its employees on unpaid leave until September.

Only specialists dealing with the technological equipment and some managers worked at the enterprise.

The reason is connected with the problems with the company's business, which arose last year: UzCarlsberg joint venture's financial and economic activity has been thoroughly examined since mid. 2011. The employees of the prosecutor's office also attended the monitoring. There is no information about the results.

The representatives of Uzbek official bodies and UzCarlsberg refuse from commenting the situation in the joint venture.

Carlsberg Group acquired BBH's assets and became a full owner of all BBH's assets, including Sarbast Plus in 2008.

Carlsberg Group bought out Uzbek partner Sarbast Plus's share in July 2009.
