Turkish economy grows by 10.3 percent

The GDP in Turkey following the second quarter of this year grew by 10.3 percent, compared to the same period last year, amounting to 349.63 billion liras, the Turkish Statistical Institute said on Monday.

In the first quarter of 2012, GDP increased by 3.2 percent compared to the same period in 2011, amounting to 329.02 billion liras.

The official exchange rate is 1.794 TRY to $1 on Sept. 10.
