Kazakhstan hosts the fourth meeting of the trade ministers of landlocked developing countries, as well as global thematic meeting on international trade, facilitation and promotion of trade, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Kazakhstan said on Wednesday.
The event, held in Almaty, brought together ministers of 30 landlocked countries, all UN member states, including transit developing countries and representatives of international organizations.
According to the thematic plan of the UN, the meeting will be preparation for a 10-year conference to consider the Almaty Programme of Action of landlocked countries to be held in 2014.
Kazakhstan's bid to host international exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana is also presented at a meeting of trade ministers.
