Georgia's real GDP growth hits 7.5 percent in first half-year

Georgia's GDP hit 6.384.1 billion lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari) at current prices in the second quarter of 2012, Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Tuesday.

Real GDP growth hit 8.2 percent during this period compared to the same period of 2011.
GDP deflator index dropped by 0.1 percent.

According to the Georgian Statistics Service, real GDP growth hit 7.5 percent during two quarter of 2012, while GDP deflator - 0.7 percent.

The highest growth was recorded in the industry - 16.6 percent, trade - 16.6 percent, in state administration - 7 percent, transportation and communications - 11.5 percent, agriculture, fishery - 8.6 percent and public health - 5.9 percent.
