Over 37.67 million tons of cargo has been transported by vehicles in Azerbaijan within January-August of 2012, which is 5.34 percent less than last year, the report of Azerbaijani State Customs Committee says.
Within this period the export of goods amounted to 2017 million tons, import - to 6.13 million tons.
Maritime transport has exported 193.8 thousand tons of goods, railway transport - 1.9 million tons, automobile transport - 372.7 thousand tons, air transport - 297.29 thousand tons. Transportation by stationary vehicles amounted to 17.4 million tons.
Maritime transport has imported 956.44 thousand tons of good, 3.79 million tons by railway, 1.31 million tons by automobile transport, 15.25 thousand tons of goods by air transport.
11.37 million tons of goods have been transited via Azerbaijan within January-August of 2012.
