The Azerbaijani National Depository Centre (NDC) is planning on signing memorandums of cooperation with the central depository organisations of Greece, Poland and Romania, the NDC report published on its official website says.

A conference on 'Forming of capital market: trends, proposals and facilities' will be held on October 5 to coincide with the 15th anniversary of NDC which is a part of the national depository system.

Signing of memorandums of cooperation with the central depositary organisations of Greece, Poland and Romania to develop such directions as the study of new service fields, uniting of activities regarding new systems and operations, training and exchange of experiences between employees, exchange of statistic data on market operations and indicators as well as the exchange of information on possible joint operations is planned at the conference, the report says.

Local and foreign experts on capital markets, researchers, regulators and specialists on securities from over 20 countries will take part at the conference.

The event will be held with the assistance of Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the World Bank and the PASHA Bank.

NDC was established on September 18 1997. The Azerbaijani State Committee on Real Estate is the founder and the owner of the whole block of shares. NDC shares were passed to the property of State Committee on Securities following the establishment of NDC. In this regard, NDC was re-established by the State Committee on Securities on September 8 1999 and registered by the government on September 18 1999.
