Trading portfolio volume to increase at border crossing point of Iranian Astara

Some 10 thousand tons of goods to the amount of 24 million dollars have been exported through border crossing point of Astara since the beginning of the year (the year starts on March 21 in Iran), the head of Customs Service Administration of Iran’s Gilan region Parviz Tegevi reported to ISNA agency on Thursday.

Some 10 thousand tons of goods to the amount of 24 million dollars have been exported through border crossing point of Astara since the beginning of the year (the year starts on March 21 in Iran), the head of Customs Service Administration of Iran's Gilan region Parviz Tegevi reported to ISNA agency on Thursday.

The export of goods has increased by 68 % in the price and 53 % in the weight in comparison with the same period of last year, Tegevi noted.

In his words, 264 487 people went through customs service in Gilan region of Iran. This indicator is 18 % higher than the indicator for the same period of last year.

Food products, cleaning fluids, conserved products, plastic items, fruits and vegetables, drinks, flowers and plants are exported to Azerbaijan via trading portfolio.

Iran has unilaterally cancelled visa regime for Azerbaijani citizens. A visa is not required for Azerbaijani citizens to visit Iran since February 1 2010.
