The number of complaints against insurance companies significantly increased in Azerbaijan during the past year to 18 months, leading specialist of the licensing, complaint and appeal office under the State Insurance Supervision Service under the Finance Ministry Orhan Bayramov told reporters on Friday.
"This is a positive factor because people are more aware of the bodies to which they can turn to during negative cases," Bayramov said.
As of the first nine months of this year, the State Service received more than 300 complaints.
"These are connected with not only the company's refusal to pay compensation," he said. "There are cases connected with the delay in paying compensation and other issues. Sometimes the parties have not agreed about the price."
