Iranian non-oil exports to exceed $250b

Iranian non-oil exports over an eight-year period are projected to exceed $25 billion by the end of May 2013, Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari said.

Iran exported over $21 billion worth of gas condensates in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20, the IRNA news agency quoted Ghazanfari as saying.

The amount shows 30 percent increase compared to the same period previous year.

The exports of processed goods from Iran is projected to hit $340 million in the current Iranian calendar year, which ends on March 20, 2013, the Mehr News Agency quoted an official with the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad as saying.

Alireza Pourbasir added that the value of exported goods stood at $265 million last year.

Iran exported $43.7 billion worth of non-oil goods last year and imported $61.8 billion worth of goods, to hit the unprecedented mark of $105 billion in annual trade
