Kish Island, located in the Persian Gulf, is an appropriate place which can provide Iran and Tajikistan with opportunities to expand bilateral tourism, IRNA quoted Kish free zone's director Reza Samadi as saying.

"Numerous tourist spots and suitable infrastructures in Kish lay the ground for foreign investors, including Tajik investors, to launch tourism activities in Kish," he said, adding that Kish hosts some one million tourists every year.

The memorandum was signed at the closing of an exclusive exhibition on Iran's free zones which was held in Tajik capital Dushanbe, ILNA reported.
