The Kazakh Government and Kazakh National Bank prepares the measures to stimulate lending activity of second level banks in 2012-2015, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Economic Development and Trade Erbolat Dosayev.
"Today, the Government and the National Bank are considering a new package of measures for 2013-2015, which envisage new approaches to stimulate bank financing of various projects, especially initiated by small and medium enterprises," Dosaev said during the presentation of the bill on supplements and amendments to some legislative acts on taxation in Kazakh Majilis (the Parliament's lower chamber).
According to Dosayev, the program "Business Road Map -2020", which provides credits to small and medium enterprises, should not be the only supporter of this sector.
"We cannot allow all the bids we have today within this program and banks do not have time to process them. So we think we will find the ways to stimulate small and medium enterprises not only within tax policy," the Minister said.
