Some 66.2 percent of fees of Azerbaijani insurance company Pasha Sığorta, collected during the first three quarters of 2012, fell on the voluntary health insurance, the company told Trend on Tuesday.
During the reporting period the company collected 23.97 million manat on this type, while the total amount of fees amounted to 36.21 million manat.
Such a high level of medical insurance share in the company's portfolio is explained by choosing Pasa Sıgorta as the insurer for employees of the Azerbaijani largest company SOCAR.
SOCAR medical insurance program was launched in January 2012 on the basis of SOCAR's decision to transfer its employees from departmental medical servicing to the corporate medical insurance program. At present, Pasa Sıgorta serves 70,000 SOCAR employees within this program.
The company paid the compensation worth 15.38 million manat in health insurance in January-September. The share of this kind in a total volume of payments amounted to 92 percent. In general, during the reporting period the company paid 16.57 million manat to its customers.
Pasa Sıgorta collected the premiums worth 72.894.27 million manat without payments by insuring against accidents and diseases, about 1.034.594 million manat by insuring vehicles and paid about 254.008.37 million manat, about 6.526.049 million manat on other types of property insurance and paid about 141,331 manat, about 159,140 manat - cargo insurance and paid 550,000 manat, 426,817 manat and paid 97,665 - liability insurance.
The company collected 2.684.791 million manat on compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners and paid 149,096 manat. It collected 1,800 manat on compulsory insurance of professional liability of auditors, 1.273.001million manat without payment on compulsory insurance of immovable property, 13.526.83 million manat without payment on compulsory liability insurance associated with the exploitation of real estate.
