Kazakh metal products can be competitive in the world markets with the accession of Kazakhstan to the WTO, executive director of the Association of Mining and mining - metallurgy Nikolai Radostovets said in an interview with Trend.
"We hope that Kazakhstan will soon follow Russia in the WTO, as it is very important for Kazakh mining and mining - metallurgy products exporters that anti-dumping duties, which is 280 percent in America and Europe, were abolished after the WTO joining," Radostovets said.
He recalled that, discriminatory measures have long been used in respect of the Kazakh steel products, as to the country with a non-market economy.
"If these onerous duties are abolished, our metal products will be competitive," he concluded.
