Iranian Central Bank to attend D8 summit in Pakistan

A delegation from the Iranian Central Bank will attend the D8 summit which will be held on Wednesday in Islamabad, IRIB reported.

The four-day eighth summit of the Developing 8 Muslim countries will discuss ways and means for further strengthening mutual business and trade relations for the benefit of people of the member states and enhance their share to 15 percent of the total global trade.

The participants of the summit will share their experiences specially in the fields of trade and investment, make recommendations and suggestions for further improving their relations in order to benefit the people of D8 member states.

The D8 group comprises Iran, Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Bangladesh and Indonesia.

The D8 group, with a population of around one billion people, has already enhanced global trade from $67 billion in 2008 to $130 billion in 2011 and is determined to boost the figure to $500 billion by 2018.
