One third of CTE 2012 exhibition participants will be debutants

The Caspian: Technologies for Environment (CTE), the 3rd International Environmental Exhibition, will take place from 21 to 23 November at Baku Expo Center, held with the support and active participation of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Iteca Caspian company said in its press release on Tuesday.

The Caspian: Technologies for Environment (CTE), the 3rd International Environmental Exhibition, will take place from 21 to 23 November at Baku Expo Center, held with the support and active participation of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Iteca Caspian company said in its press release on Tuesday.

CTE, the only event in the Caspian and Caucasus regions dedicated to ecology and environmental protection, offers a comprehensive presentation of innovative developments in environmental protection and the responsible use of nature. The exhibition also aims to assist the promotion and use in Azerbaijan of innovative environmental equipment and technology that can protect natural resources and improve quality of life. CTE is organised by Iteca Caspian and ITE Group plc.

60 companies are set to take part in CTE 2012, from countries including Azerbaijan, Belgium, Germany, France, Israel and Turkey. CTE is attracting a great deal of attention from government bodies using the event as a platform to announce their projects and results - these active participants include the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Tamiz Shahar JSC, Azersu JSC, the Company for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources and the Agency for Land Reclamation and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan State Shipping Company, and the State Committee for City Building and Architecture of Azerbaijan.

Exhibitors also include leading companies from the oil and gas sector - SOCAR, BP and Saipem will all present their proposals and projects for effective natural resource use, alternative and renewable energy, and water treatment to reverse the effects of long-term oil and gas field development in Azerbaijan. 30% of this year's exhibitors are appearing at the event for the very first time, including Gorex Analyt GMBH, Nord Engineering (Turkey), Belgium, and Deniz Mühendislik (Turkey). These and other debutants will showcase equipment for environmental impact assessments, systems for collecting and treating solid waste, water treatment facilities, and deep-sea treatment facilities.

The exhibition as a whole will feature the latest developments in effective natural resource use, renewable resources, waste processing plants, and the newest alternative energy equipment - focusing the attention of millions of people on environmental protection issues and how to solve them. Particular emphasis will be placed on water treatment and its subsequent use for drinking, and special technologies for repairing damaged marine ecosystems will be presented for the first time.

In this way, CTE 2012 will demonstrate environmental protection achievements and promote expanded international cooperation on environmental issues between regional and international public and government organisations, as well as increasing investment and the use of the latest experience in introducing alternative sources of energy.
