The goods imported to the Iranian market will be marked to prevent smuggling, Iranian Organization for Supporting Consumers and Producers deputy chairman Mojtaba Farahani said today, the official website of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Mines reported.

According to the information, the monitoring network of the Ministry is implementing a marking project "Sebnem". According to it, the goods imported into the country will be labeled as "Sebnem". Afterwards, they will be brought to the domestic markets of the country.

The project implementation will start from December 22.

If all businesses and companies importing goods to the country, will not label their products from the indicated date, the product will be considered as contraband. The companies-importers will be penalized, and the goods will be confiscated.
