Polish automaker Honker, which is included in DZT group plans to create an assembly plant in Azerbaijan.

The company has already held preliminary talks with the government of Azerbaijan during the business forum that was held in Warsaw on Monday, Vice President of the company Zdzislaw Kinsner said at a meeting with Azerbaijani journalists.

The company plans to create such a plant in the frame of Azerbaijani government project on creation of industrial technology park in Sumgait. Honker representatives are going to present their proposals to the Azerbaijani side in the near future, the vice-president said.

Honker production capacity is more than 40 thousand cars a year. The company manufactures off-road vehicles (civilian and military), trucks, ambulances. One of these ambulances will be donated to the Azerbaijani government soon with the assistance of the Polish Embassy in Baku.

Each year the company produces dozens of modifications of vehicles for military and civilian areas, and separate parts for the world automobile manufacturers.

The company plans to expand into new markets, which include Azerbaijan, the vice president said.

DZT company history began in the 90's of the twentieth century. Company was founded by Zbigniew Tyminski, CEO. The main office of the company and factory are located in the Middle Bachika in Podlasie.

The company operates under the new name DZT Tymińscy sp. j. and focuses primarily on the automotive industry since December 31, 2007.
