Kazakh KazAgro allocates over $950 million to agricultural sector support

Kazakh National Holding KazAgro allocated over 144.6 billion tenge ($957 million) to support the agricultural sector in January-November 2012, Kazinform reported referring to the Holding.

Some 34 percent of the funding was allocated from the state budget.

About 114.5 billion tenge of all these funds was lent to agro-industrial complex enterprises and population, the rest 28.7 billion were used to purchase various agricultural products. Some 97.6 percent of all loans in January- November or 111.8 billion tenge were given to small and medium enterprises.

KazAgro is a financial operator of the most important strategic projects of agricultural development in Kazakhstan. It provides available, target and effective use of the state and attracted resources, implements further development of productive, information and service infrastructure of agro-industrial complex.
