The house price index increased by 11.8 percent in Turkey in September 2012 compared to the same month in 2011. In September of 2012, it reached 125.9 points, the Turkish Central Bank's report published on its website said on Tuesday.
The house price index in Turkey rose by 0.53 percent in September compared to the previous month of 2012.
The housing prices in Istanbul in September rose to an average of 1.133.6 lira per square meter compared to 1.013.9 lira for the same month in 2011.
The housing prices in other major Turkish cities such as Ankara and Izmir averaged 1.053.9 lira and 1.264.9 lira in September, respectively.
The official exchange rate is 1.7828 TRY/USD on Dec. 11.
