Some 86,300 new cars were registered in Turkey in October 2012, Turkish Statistics Institute said in a report published on its website on Wednesday.
Thus, the number of cars in the country hit 16.9 million.
According to the report, 41.1 percent of the cars in Turkey use liquefied gas, 34.4 percent - gasoline, 23.9 percent - diesel.
Twelve percent of the registered cars in October account for Renault brand, 10.9 percent - Opel, 10 percent - Volkswagen, 8.7 percent - Tofaş-Fiat, 8.6 percent - Hyundai, 7.5 percent - Ford and 6.7 percent - Toyota.
