Over 410 enterprises started in Azerbaijani regions in 2012

Rural road repair and construction operations were launched as a part of 18 different projects in Azerbaijan in 2012. They are planned to be completed in 2013, Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the results of socio-economic development in 2012 and tasks for 2013.

Rural road repair and construction operations were launched as a part of 18 different projects in Azerbaijan in 2012. They are planned to be completed in 2013, Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the results of socio-economic development in 2012 and tasks for 2013.

"As a result, around 634 kilometers of rural roads and 42 bridges that will connect 400 settlements with a total population of 450,000 people in 18 regions of the country will be constructed and repaired", Mustafayev said. "Water supply and sewerage system reconstruction projects are being implemented in 61 urban and regional centers. Some of these projects will be completed this year."

In general, more than 410 companies began operating in the field of industry, agriculture, services and trade in the outlying regions of the country during 2012. Over 400 companies were set up.

Some 268 schools, 62 kindergartens, 40 health facilities, 27 sports facilities, 29 cultural and other social facilities were built and or repaired in Azerbaijan in 2012. More than 420 social facilities are being constructed or repaired.

"Around 134 schools and 71 kindergartens, 27 health facilities, 9 sports and cultural facilities have been constructed and or repaired under this state program for socio-economic development in Baku", he said. "Some 85 social facilities are being constructed or repaired."
